Sept 8, Bar Harbor, ME

We motored about 10 miles to Bar Harbor and saw more of the spectacular Maine coast. Weather is cool, water temperature is 55 degrees, air temperature about 70. No wind but a little fog. Visibility about 2 miles. Seas nearly flat calm with a little swell from the ocean.

Bar Harbor is a larger coastal resort community with several nice hotels, lots of shops and restaurants and plenty of activities from hiking and bike riding to whale watching, sailing and fishing. This is one of the premiere resort communities in Maine and the jumping off point for the Acadia National Park.

Linda finds and old fashioned "soda fountain" that reminds her of one where she worked in Coral Gables about 1960.

This Maple Tree shows us our first fall color.

Large motor yacht TWILIGHT from Ft Lauderdale with an "Intrepid" tender.

KOKOMO II from Stuart and BELLFLOWER from Palm Beach.

We are docked right in the center of the waterfront and have a great view of the town and the harbor and feel in the middle of things.
