June 14, National Harbor, MD

We moved about five miles from downtown Washington, DC to National Harbor, a large mixed use real estate development. It is located just outside the ring road, south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, in Maryland.

Large buildings dominate the National Harbor.

Approaching National Harbor Marina.

Beach, restaurants, office and residential.

Sculpture in the sand.

Commercial space is well done.

Gaylord Hotel has a very large atrium.
Stunning.

Gaylord rooms.

Good trellis

National Harbor Marina. Woodrow Wilson Bridge behind.

The National Harbor is less than five years old. We enjoyed seeing a large scale project and wonder about the real estate values in light of the current economy. The restaurant and commercial part of the project seems 75% occupied. Hard to tell about the office and residential. The Gaylord Hotel was busy with a convention.
