July 9-10, Charlevoix, MI

Today we moved 15 miles from Petosky to Charlevoix and went into the harbor at Bay Harbor, as we went by. Bay Harbor is a new community built around an old quarry now connected to lake Michigan and has many big expensive homes. Pretty to see from the water.

Bay Harbor Yacht Club where we had dinner with Russ and Chris on July 3rd and then watched fireworks.

Kim and Ady join Owen on the boat for the trip to Charlevoix and Linda drives the rental car around to join us. We arrive in the boat after 11 am and then Kim and Ady take the car to Lewiston to Neumann's Dream Lodge to see Rick and Kathy, John and Julie, Christopher, Jack, Ryan, Tommy, Gracie, Mia. They get to meet Rick and Kathy's girls and their family's, Katie and Steve, and Jenny and Andy and their new baby Luke. What a family gathering at the Dream Lodge! Kim and Ady have some great pictures of the day's activities in Lewiston. What a great day for everyone.

Charlevoix Marina.

Charlevoix is like coming home for us. We decide that of all of our ports in Michigan, we are most comfortable here. We like the marina and our friendly dockmaster Hal and his staff and find the marina's proximity to town to be the icing on the cake.

Hand painted park bench will be auctioned for charity in August. Beautiful.

Charlevoix has an arts and crafts show in the park above the marina and there are probably 100 vendors with some interesting items.

There is an art festival in Charlevoix for the weekend and we tour the booths before leaving town.
