July 20-21, Burlington, VT

We moved 15 miles south back to Burlington, VT. The weather is overcast and breezy this morning and the temperature is cool on the water. Pleasant cruise to Burlington.

Granite shoreline.
Lone Rock Point just before Burlington Harbor.

Approaching Burlington.

We are staying in downtown Burlington at the Community Boathouse Marina. It is completely booked today with a waiting list because of the influx of Canadians to Lake Champlain this time of the year. Most of the boats at our dock are flying a Canadian flag.

We go up the hill in Burlington to the pedestrian shopping and restaurant area and enjoy the summer day.

Now a real estate brokerage office.

Burlington pedestrian mall.

There is a community arts project here like we have seen in many other cities. Artists use the theme and create an art piece which is then displayed and auctioned with the proceeds going to local charities.

Race car.

Garden
Linda enjoys the cows.

Farm and lake
We see children climbing on the sculptures and being photographed on many of the pieces. No one seems to mind.

Burlington collage.

'The Cows Come Home to Burlington' has about 20 cows downtown on the pedestrian mall. We think some are very good.

Beautiful evening in Vermont.

Our marina has a good view to the west as the sun sets into the Adirondack Mountains of NY.

Monkeys on rooftops symbolize the past and future.

Children performing in the park.

Bike path along the waterfront.

Ferry operates right in front of our boat at the dock.
From Burlington to NY.

Echo Aquarium and Science Center at the waterfront.

Burlington seems to be a very nice town. T-shirt says 'Whatever happens in Burlington stays in Burlington---but nothing very much happens here anyway'.
