July 8, Norwalk, CT

We left Cos Cob about noon (we needed low tide to get under the nearby railroad bridge) and motored about 5 miles into the harbor at Stamford and took a look around from the boat. Lots of sailboat and motorboat traffic on Sunday and it makes for an active harbor.

Norwalk Town Dock

Seafood restaurant across the harbor with music on Sunday and w/o air conditioning

Kept going another 5 miles to Norwalk and are spending the night at the Norwalk Town Dock. We took three hours to go the ten miles from Cos Cob to Norwalk because of our side trip to look at Stamford but it was very pleasant on the water and very scenic.

Downtown Norwalk has few stores and several restaurants

Very pretty stone church

Town Dock in Norwalk is pretty basic but the location is within easy walking distance of downtown. Hot today (over 90) and we wait for it to cool.
