The seas diminished to 2 feet or less as we traveled upriver and after one and one half hours of running at 18 knots, we slowed to our normal cruising speed of 8 knots and were very comfortable. After another hour the seas were flat. Big change from earlier in the week where we had 3-4 and 4-6 foot seas each and every day.
We cruised all the way up the Delaware River to the C&D Canal and continued west until we reached the Chesapeake Bay. Then cruised south another 3o miles to Tolchester, Maryland, a very small town on the eastern shore.
We are staying at the Tolchester Marina with power and internet and there is a small beachfront restaurant. Seems like a good spot.
