Travels with KOKOMO II

KOKOMO II completed the "Great Loop" over three summers from May 2007 to November 2009. The cruising plan for 2010 is from Stuart, Florida, up the Intercoastal Waterway to the Chesapeake, down the Delaware and around to NYC and up the Hudson to Lake Champlain, the Richelieu to Montreal, then west on the St Lawrence River to the 1000 Islands and Kingston, then across Lake Ontario to Oswego, the Erie Canal, down the Hudson to NYC and back to Stuart. kokomox2@yahoo.com

July 23, Rouses Point, NY

We moved north with overcast skies today and traveled about 20 miles almost to the top of Lake Champlain. We are only about a mile from the Canadian Border.

Lighthouse Marina

We are staying at the Lighthouse Marina where most of the other boats are Canadian from the Provence of Quebec. Lots of French speakers here. The San Marino is a very nice restaurant here at our marina and one of the nicest we have seen in a long time.
