We ended up about 5 pm at the Point Lookout Marina, on Smith Creek about 6 miles up the Potomac from the Chesapeake and found a delightful rural spot with good power, and a restaurant. Internet did not reach us at the dock but was strong in the office.
KOKOMO II completed the "Great Loop" over three summers from May 2007 to November 2009. The cruising plan for 2010 is from Stuart, Florida, up the Intercoastal Waterway to the Chesapeake, down the Delaware and around to NYC and up the Hudson to Lake Champlain, the Richelieu to Montreal, then west on the St Lawrence River to the 1000 Islands and Kingston, then across Lake Ontario to Oswego, the Erie Canal, down the Hudson to NYC and back to Stuart. kokomox2@yahoo.com

June 16, Ridge, MD
Today we got underway about 7:15 and moved almost 100 miles from Alexandria, Virginia all the way down the Potomac River toward the Chesapeake Bay. Nice day on the water as it was clam and somewhat overcast (not too hot). We were completely alone on the water most of the day.
