Sept 4, Fenlon Falls, ON
We have a generator issue and the mechanic at Gordon's Marina is busy today and could not look at the generator. So we called ahead to the Fenlon Falls Marina and they have a mechanic available, so we moved on about fifteen miles through Sturgeon Lake and two more locks to Fenlon Falls.
He diagnosed the problem as a booster fuel pump. He could not locate one close enough to be delivered for tomorrow, but did find one in Quebec that can be delivered Monday. So rather than wait here of the fuel pump, we are having it shipped to Orillia, where we are planning to be on Monday. Logistics on this sort of thing are challenging.
For this evening, we moved Kokomo II back to the lock wall at Fenlon Falls because it is in the center of town and the Fenlon Falls Marina is a half mile from town and has no 50 or 30 amp power for us anyway.
Fenlon Falls is a nice small town with a park at the lock and so staying on the lock wall is very pleasant. The oak trees are so large that they block the southern sky so that our TV satellite receiver cannot find the signal. First time that has happened to us since Savannah.
We walk the town in under 30 minutes and have a very nice dinner overlooking the falls at Fenlon Falls.
