Aug 19-20, Trenton, ON

This morning we are off to Trenton. We moved another 10 miles west on the Bay of Quinte and, for our cruise this morning, the weather is spectacular! Temperature is 60 degrees and the air is crystal clear as the rain last night cleared everything out. Sky is mostly blue with some high clouds and not much wind.

Someone sets off a smoke flare as we approach Trenton

Approaching Trenton, Ontario. Waterfront library is in right/center.

Trenton, Ontario, is the gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway and has a nice marina, Frazier Park Marina, right in the center of the town. Marina staff is friendly and there are lots of boater services nearby. A large A&P is just a few blocks away. We found a thrift store and picked out several used books. The marina is located on a downtown park, which is very attractive and well maintained. The marina is small and accommodates about 15 boats. There is a beautiful waterfront library in Trenton with free (and fast) internet access.

We are spending two nights here and reprovisioning now that we have good access to stores in Canada.

Downtown Trenton

We talked to Katie regarding the passing of tropical Storm Fay just west of Stuart yesterday (Aug 19th) and she reports everything is OK! She reports that schools were closed but Dan spent the whole day in his dental office with patients. Wow!
