We entered the harbor at Provincetown and picked up a mooring and immediately went into town. There was a lot of pedesterian traffic on the streets (more than we have seen in any resort setting on our trip).
The pilot of our launch reports that the town is only about 20-30% straight and the rest gay and lesbian. His comment was that there were not many "breeders" left in town. Provincetown seems to be the New England version of Key West, FL. Our guide reports that locals "treat everyone with respect" and that the crime rate is very low. Lots of funky shops and several good restaurants.
Seems to be a favorite stop for boaters in this part of the world as the marina and moorings are sold out this coming Wed through Sunday.
